Buddah Belly
Located on the corner of Main Street and NW 16th Avenue

Famous For: Wide Variety on their menu, great curry and rice.

Recommendations: The Curry and Rice is very good, choose from peanut or coconut flavor and as much or as little spice as you like!

Pros: Good Portions, Knowledgeble staff
Cons: Small dining room, saw a cockroach inside

Tori's Big Burger
Located on the corner of University Avenue and SW 2nd Street (Downtown)

Famous For: Home of the 1 lb Big Burger

Recommendation: Unless you haven't eaten in a week or two, the 1/2 lb burger is plenty big, and they give you a lot of fresh hot fries!

Pros: Burgers are cooked to order as are the fries, the portions are very generous, pricing is very fair
Cons: Lacks any atmosphere (if you're into that)

Louis Lunch
436 SE 2nd Street (downtown)

Famous For: being the oldest restaurant in Gainesville. Opened in 1928

Recommendation: A #1. Two Louis Burgers, Fries (homestyler, curly, or onion rings), and a large drink ($5.85)

Pros: Good burgers, neat historical photos and newspaper clippings everywhere
Cons: A constant shouting match between mother and daughter workers complete with the B word every 30 seconds

Service: Fast, shout while delivering food - 5
Food: Good Greasy Burgers, good curly fries - 7
Value: Burgers were small but you get two! - 8
